In the inaugural Library Debate, sponsored by the Pequot Library, Discovery Magnet’s Jaden Graham and Akhilesh Mannava defeated Park City Prep’s Sashay Hutchinson and Haudrey Joseph on the resolution, This House Believes parents should be able to ban books from schools and libraries.

League Championship
The Bridgeport Public Schools Debate League welcomed 20 teams to our tenth annual league championship. After five rounds, Harry B. Flood, in their first year of competition, defeated Park City Prep for the league title. Flood was represented by Zara Wong and Ethan Leonard. Isabella Elliott and Mianna Singleton represented Park City.
Flood also swept the Best Speaker Awards:
1st Place – Amya Coreano
2nd Place – Jonathan Wong
3rd Place Tie – Ethan Leonard (Flood) Matthew Marquez (High Horizons)
